Demonstration copy of FS-DoW insert compatible with Dead of Winter TM and The Long Night TM

Below are images of our FS-DoW product which is compatible with both the original Dead of Winter game and the later release Dead of Winter - Long Night. We start with images of the insert assembled for use with the original game.

As before please note that this is a demonstration piece using the blue foam used for Essen Spiel demo products. The final products will use a grey foam, together with the grey print you see here.

FS-DoW Assembled for Use with the Original Game

This image shows the full box, with the insert trays inside and the board and rules on top.

With the board and rule removed you can see the insert trays underneath. Clockwise from the top left you can see the two trays for storing the zombie standees. having two trays means they can be spread out round the board during game play. Top right is a tray for storing the survivor standees. In this version all standees can be stored with bases attached. Bottom right is the first of the card trays. In the middle at the bottom are trays for the dice and the zombie tokens. Bottom left is the second card tray, where the first player token and red D12 are stored also. There is sufficient space for all cards to be sleeved with quality sleeves.

With the two small trays for dice and zombie tokens removed you can see underneath two further trays for the remaining tokens and components.

The location cards are stored underneath the zombie standee trays.

Underneath the location cards there is a space filler to compensate for the area taken in the Long Night by the thick card location tiles.

The tray for the character standees needs to be raised slightly (5mm) when used for the original game. The product includes legs which are glued to the base of the tray to fill this space.

FS-DoW Assembled for Use with The Long Night TM

Here are images of the same insert assembled for use with the Long Night game.

As before please note that this is a demonstration piece using the blue foam used for Essen Spiel demo products. The final products will use a grey foam, together with the grey print you see here.

This image shows the full box with the rules and board on top of the trays.

With the board and rule removed you can see the insert trays underneath. Clockwise from the top left you can see the tray for the survivor standees, stored fitted to the plastic bases. The middle top tray is for storing the zombie standees, which are also stored fitted to their bases. Top right is a tray for the Raxxon zombies and the bandit standees. these need to be stored without their bases being attached. Bottom right is the first of the card trays together with the red D12. In the middle at the bottom are trays for the dice and the zombie tokens. Bottom left is the second card tray, where the first player token is stored also. There is sufficient space for all cards to be sleeved with quality sleeves.

With the dice and zombie token trays removed you can see underneath the other trays in the middle for storing the other components.

Now with the standee trays removed the thick location cards can be seen underneath.

This image shows how the trays are also functional during game play, giving players easy access to the components when needed.
